Cross-Posting
Cross-posting lets you write a post once and publish it to all your connected networks simultaneously.
How It Worksโ
- Compose a post in the DegenFeed composer
- Select which networks you want to publish to
- DegenFeed translates your post into each network's native format
- Posts are published simultaneously across all selected networks
Network-Specific Formattingโ
Each network has different limits and formats. DegenFeed handles the translation automatically:
| Network | Character Limit | Media Support | Link Preview |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mastodon | 500 | Up to 4 images/videos | Yes |
| Nostr | Unlimited | Images, videos | Yes (clients) |
| Farcaster | 320 | Images | Yes (frames) |
| Lens | Unlimited | Images, videos, audio | Yes |
| Bluesky | 300 | Up to 4 images | Yes (cards) |
| Threads | 500 | Images, videos | Yes |
| 40,000 (post) | Images, videos | Subreddit rules apply |
Threadingโ
When you create a thread (multiple posts linked together), DegenFeed handles it differently per network:
- Mastodon: Unlisted thread with replies
- Bluesky: Threaded posts
- Reddit: Self-post with body text
Cross-Platform Repliesโ
When someone replies to your cross-post on one network, replies are kept within that network. DegenFeed brings all replies into your unified notifications.
Cross-Post Analyticsโ
Track how your posts perform across networks:
- Views and impressions per network
- Likes, reposts, and replies per network
- Click-through on shared links
Best Practicesโ
- Check character limits: If your post exceeds a network's limit, it will be truncated on that network
- Consistent branding: Use the same handle or display name across networks
- Schedule wisely: Different networks have different peak times
- Test formatting: Preview your post before publishing
